At the Parish functions we have had a chance to hear the talented singers and musicians of our Church, as well as the children who study music and dancing. We sing the Mass at most 7.00am services and other special occasions, and rehearse on Friday evening from 7.00pm to 8.30pm. The congregational responses show that our contribution is appreciated. If you would like to join us we would be delighted to hear from you

The
Mothers’ Union is a world wide organisation of women in the Anglican
Church who are especially concerned with marriage, Christian family life
and the welfare of children. Saint Peter’s / Biggera Waters Branch of
Mothers’ Union (MU Australia) meets on the 3rd Wednesday of
the month at 9:30am.
We
have a large branch and meetings include worship, guest speakers, visits
to gardens, picnics, social gatherings and business meetings.
We participate in the World Day of Prayer and Annual Quiet Day
held in different parishes in the Gold Coast. We
supply simnel cakes for Mothering Sunday and the retiring collection on
that day goes towards Mothers’ Union projects.
We also organise a retiring collection for the Saint Luke’s
Nursing Chaplaincy (Spiritus). We
attend baptisms and supply a cradle roll card and Gospel according to
Saint Luke to each child and follow up each year with an
anniversary card. For

| The Men's Group has
re-formed, albeit in a less formal and less structured format, in that
there will be no assigned leader. We will meet in the Parish Centre on
the first Wednesday of each month at 6.00 pm. The programme will consist
of the "reading" of an Office from the Book of Common Prayer
followed by either, a Bible Study, a discussion on a specific topic or a
talk. After the meeting there will be a light supper and tea an coffee. We earnestly seek the attendance of more men, For more information please contact Hamish Tel.: 5528 2883 or 5532 8978).
Hospital Chaplaincy St. Peter's is actively involved in visiting and ministering to those who are in hospital. If you are hospitalised or have a friend or family member who you feel may like a visit it is important that you or the person you know inform the hospital on entry that they are an Anglican, or request that they be visited by an Anglican
minister. Communion is available to those in hospital. Prayer
Groups This ministry of intercession is deeply
appreciated. It presents a
special opportunity for Christian ministry to people who are not able to
be physically active or who are shy about doing things in public.
If you want to be part of this ministry, or to ask for prayer for
yourself or someone else, make it known to the Parish Priest. Nursing
Home Visits Staff and church members regularly visit
Nursing Homes in our area. A
Communion Service is often held, however, a minister will be pleased to
visit if you ask. Please contact the Parish Office: 5532
8978 Home
Communions In cases of illness or infirmity
parishioners may wish for Holy Communion to be available in their home.
Our Clergy are only too pleased to be called upon to provide this
ministry. If you, or one of
your relatives would like Holy Communion to be celebrated in your/their
home please contact the Parish office. Parish
Council The Diocesan Canons provide that “the
Parish Council is responsible for the management of the property and the
business affairs of the parish.” It
also assists and advises the Parish Priest in planning, organising and
carrying out the pastoral, teaching and evangelistic ministry. Community
Service Our
parish has completed and commissioned a special building which is used by
the Saint Luke’s Nursing Service (Spiritus) as a day respite care centre. The Parish provides a meeting place for :
